Merino wool is very soft and felts together lovely, it is hand dyed in some fantastic shades, over 130 colours. Wet felting is a way of getting your wool fibres to knit together to create a flat piece of finished felt. Using water, soap, and a piece of net and a sushi mat...it is amazing the effects you can achieve!  Agitating the fibres to entangle themselves together, adding silk fibres for interest.

A very popular colour and my favorite too, olive green with other close shades of green wet felted with silk fibres added for interest on top. An olive ceramic flower in the centre is the echoing shape of the brooch.
